<br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given.

<br />!Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of
<br />July 17 and July 27, 1961, reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and
<br />approved as mailed on motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried.

<br />On motion of Councilmen Heinly, seconded by Hubbard and carried, the lowest bid of

<br />Hersey-Sparling Meter Company was accepted for Item No. 1, at the unit price of
<br />$330.21, in the total amount of $6,604.20, and the lowest bid of Badger Meter Mfg.
<br />Company was accepted for Item No. 2, at the unit price of $475.11, in the total
<br />amount of $4,751.10, and all other bids rejected.
<br />
<br />This being the date set for hearing on the annexatic~ of property consisting of
<br />approximately ten acres, located on the east side of Wright Street, beginning at a
<br />point approximately 200 feet north of Twentieth Street, designated as "Twenty-First
<br />
<br />and Lyon N. W. Annex"; the Mayor asked the Clerk if any written protests had been
<br />
<br />received, and she replied there were none. On motion of Councilman Heinly,
<br />
<br />by Hubbard and carried, the Affidavits of Publication were received and filed. No
<br />
<br />protests were received and the hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Heinly,
<br />
<br />seconded by Hubbard and carried, the following Ordinance entitled:
<br />
<br />"Ordinance declaring the annexation of that certain territory
<br />designated 'Twenty-First and Lyon N. W. Annex'"

<br />trict, property on the west side of Grand Avenue, between Fourteenth and Seventeenth
<br />
<br />Streets, all as shown on Exhibit A.A. 356A; no protests were received and the hear-
<br />
<br />lng was closed. On motion of Councilm-n Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried,

<br />the following Ordinance entitled:
