No. 61-221 <br />Stop intersection <br />Grand and~McFadden <br />Avenues C ~ ~ ~ <br /> <br />Petition <br />Crosswalk on <br />Bolsa Ave. at <br />Jackson Street <br /> <br />No. 8; pipe guards to be set in 2'-4" below the surface in a 2'-8" x 14" round <br />concrete block, solid fill pipe with concrete, in the amount of $105.00, amending <br />total contract price in the sum of $52,066.36. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of the <br />Department of Public Works was approved for payment to Southern California Edison <br />Ccmpany, in the sum of $916.44, for the City's share of street improvements on <br />Grand Avenue south of Santa Clara Avenue, in exchange for dedication on Grand <br />Avenue to ultimate width and construction of curb, gutter, sidewalk and pavement. <br />The Counci~ hawing unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Neinly, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the following Resolution <br />entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-219 amending Section 3 of Resolution <br /> No. 58-281" <br /> <br />revising and establishing the basic compensation plan for employees and to re- <br />assign schedule n~mbers to class titles and to add certain classes to the list of <br />titles to Section 3 of Resolution No. 58-281, effective September l, 1961, was con- <br />sidered and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Henry R. Schlueter was granted to be absent from the State from September <br />14th to September 24, 1961, inclusive. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Acting City Manager and on motion of Counc~lm-n Heinly, <br />seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of Industrial ~uard Service, Inc., 814 <br />Ken Way, Anaheim, was granted to perform Guard Service for industrial plants. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilman Neinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution entit~ed: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 61-221 declaring stop interseetion" <br /> <br />establishing a four-way stop at the intersection of Grand and McFadden Avenues, as <br />recommended by the Department of Publie Works, was considered and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen <br /> <br />Noes, Councilmen <br />Absent, CounciLmen <br /> <br /> Henry H. The Director of <br />Public Works orally reported reference the petition signed by approxfmately 58 <br />persons residing on the north side of Bolsa Avenue, in the vicinity of the A.B.C. <br />Department Store, located on the south side of Bolsa Avenue, requesting a crosswalk <br />to the main entrance of said store and stated the crosswalk will be established prior <br />to September ll, l~61. <br /> <br /> <br />
