Facts in Support of the Finding <br /> <br />The following mitigation measures, which have been incorporated in the proposed <br />project, will substantially reduce the effects of the project on the electrical distribution <br />system on the project site and in the vicinity of the project, and on the supply of <br />electricity, to a level of insignificance: <br /> <br />The relocation of SCE facilities along Fruit Street will be coordinated with <br />Southern California fdison Company (SCE). <br /> <br />The Register will grant SCl access easements to the SCE facilities along Sixth <br />Street. <br /> <br />The Register will coordinate with the SCE to incorporate energy sawngs programs <br />in the construction and operation of the expanded facility. Incorporation of these <br />programs and energy saving technologies in the design and operation of the <br />expansion facility will contribute to overall regional reduction in long term energy <br />needs. <br /> <br />Si~anificant Effect <br /> <br />Overall demand for police services and assistance to the Register is expected to be <br />minimal. Nonetheless, the proposed project must be constructed consistent with the <br />requirements of the City of Santa Aha Police Department. <br /> <br />Finding, <br /> <br />Finding <br /> <br />Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated into, the <br />project which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental <br />effect identified in the Final EIR. <br /> <br />Facts in Support of the Find!rig <br /> <br />The following mitigation measures, which have been incorporated in the proposed <br />project, will substantially reduce the effects of the project on the City of Santa Aha <br />Police Department, and will ensure that the project is constructed consistent with the <br />requirements of the Police Department: <br /> <br />All structures and parking lots constructed as part of the proposed project will <br />comply with the provisions of Chapter 8, Article I1, Division 3 of the Santa Aha <br />Municipal Code (Building Security Ordinance). <br /> <br />The Register will coordinate with the Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) on the <br />demolition of the apartments and the construction of the new structures to ensure <br />that appropriate security and crime reduction elements are in place to reduce the <br />potential for vandalism and other criminal activities during demolition and <br />construction. <br /> <br />The apartments sites will be fenced prior to demolition and the fences will be <br />maintained during the entire construction period. The Register will provide private <br />security to this area for this entire period. <br /> <br />The lighting of all the structures and parking facilities will be designed to facilitate <br />emergency response and to discourage criminal incidents. <br /> <br /> <br />
