301 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91- 027 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SA/~TA ANA <br />SUPPORTING THE AM~RIC2%N TROOPS Ai~D THEIR <br />FAMILIES INVOLVED IN OPERATION DESERT STORM. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is anxious to show support <br />of the men and women serving our country in the Persian Gulf War; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha is cognizant of the <br />personal sacrifices and difficult times that the families of these <br />brave enlisted men and women are experiencing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha will display yellow <br />ribbons on the water tower, City Hall, and City vehicles as symbols <br />of our pride, concern and constancy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha will display a large <br />banner across Main Street at Fourth Street that carries this <br />message "Santa Aha Supports Our Troops"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, American flags will be displayed along Fourth <br />Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the families of city employees who are serving <br />in Operation Desert storm will be invited to Santa Aha Council <br />Chambers for a special presentation; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA does hereby support the American troops and <br />their families who are involved in Operation Desert Storm, and <br />takes great pride in saluting these troops and their loved ones. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this ]9th day of February , 1991. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Clerk of the Co~ncll <br /> <br /> <br />
