REL: 3/5/91 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91-031 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA EXEMPTING NON-PROFIT <br />ORGANIZATIONS FROM THE PAYMENT OF LAND <br />USE CERTIFICATE FEES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana each year <br />adopts a resolution establishing a uniform schedule of fees to be <br />charged to applicants for City permits or services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, included among these fee resolutions are fees for <br />land use certificates, which are issued by the Planning Department <br />of the City for certain activities regulated in the zoning chapter <br />of the Santa Ana Municipal Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the activities for which land use certificates are <br />required include those activities which are frequently undertaken <br />by non-profit organizations for fund-raising purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council deems it inappropriate to charge non- <br />profit organizations fees for fund-raising activities; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Any non-profit organization who has received a fee-exempt <br />business license from the City of Santa Ana in accordance with <br />section 21-51 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code shall be exempt from <br />the payment of fees for land use certificate applications for fund <br />raising activities while such business license remains in effect. <br /> <br /> 2. Nothing herein shall be construed to relieve non-profit <br />organizations from the need to obtain land use certificates in <br /> <br /> <br />
