RESOLUTION NO. 91-070 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION <br />IN THE VOLUNTARY COOPERATIVE PURCHASING <br />PROGRAM FOR POLITICAL SUBDIVISIONS OF THE <br />COUNTY OF ORANGE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code Section Title V <br />Division 1, Part 2, Sections 51301, et seq., authorizes the City to <br />contract with the County for the County to perform certain city <br />functions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that certain items may be acquired <br />consistent with the City's centralized purchasing system at a lower <br />cost by contracting with the County to have selected items bid <br />through the County's Purchasing Agent. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That the City of Santa Ana hereby agrees with the County <br />of Orange that the Purchasing Agent for the County shall <br />be and hereby is authorized to negotiate, as requested by <br />the City, with vendors on behalf of the City of Santa Ana <br />for the purchase of such items as are regularly purchased <br />by the County. <br /> <br /> 2. The City of Santa Aha hereby agrees to issue its own <br />purchase orders for the designated items requested and shall be <br />solely and completely responsible for paying for, receiving and <br />inspecting items in accordance with contractual agreements between <br />the County and successful bidders. <br /> <br />Upon the approval of the terms of this resolution by the <br />County Board of Supervisors, this resolution shall <br />constitute the aforesaid agreement between the City of <br />Santa Ana and County of Orange. This agreement shall be <br />effective from the date of approval of the County Board <br />of Supervisors and shall continue until July 31, 1996, <br />but may be terminated by either party by thirty (30) days <br /> <br /> <br />
