· 307 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 91- 079 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />AMENDING RESOLUTION 91-066 TO ADD A SPECIAL COMPENSATION <br />PROVISION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the city Charter of <br />the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, <br />install and maintain a position classification and pay plan <br />subject to civil service rules and regulations and the <br />approval of the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 1, 1991 the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 91-066, re-establishing the Basic <br />Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as <br />unrepresented Executive and Middle-Management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has identified the need for a <br />temporary special assignment pay for the Assistant Fire <br />Marshal (MM) who is temporarily serving as Acting Fire <br />Marshal; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution No. 91- <br />066 in order to effect this change. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That Resolution No. 91-066 be amended by adding in <br />proper numerical sequence a new Section 4.3 to read: <br /> <br />"The incumbent in the classification Assistant Fire <br />Marshal, who at the discretion of the Fire Chief is <br />serving in an acting capacity as the City's Fire <br />Marshal, will be paid at a rate set ten (10) salary rate <br />ranges (five per cent) above his current base salary <br />range for the remainder of the fiscal year or the return <br />or appointment of a regular fire marshal whichever <br />occurs first." <br /> <br /> <br />
