RESOLUTION NO. 92- 013 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA DENYING VARIANCE <br />APPLICATION NO. 91-008, WHICH SOUGHT TO <br />ALLOW A WALL SIGN ON THE GROUND FLOOR <br />LEVEL OF A BUILDING IDENTIFYING A TENANT <br />ON AN UPPER FLOOR LEVEL AT 2020 EAST <br />FIRST STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council held a public hearing on February 3, <br />1992, on Variance Application No. 91-008, which sought to allow a <br />wall sign on the ground floor level of a building identifying a <br />tenant on an upper floor level at 2020 East First Street; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid hearing <br />this Council finds and determines as follows: <br /> <br />A. The strict application of the zoning regulations will not <br />deprive the subject property of privileges not otherwise at <br />variance with the intent and purpose of the provisions of this <br />chapter; <br /> <br />Strict adherence to the on-premise sign regulations will <br />not be detrimental to the existing professional office <br />building on the subject site nor impose any undue <br />hardship on the owner or the tenant. <br /> <br />B. That the granting of a variance is not necessary for the <br />preservation and enjoyment of one or more substantial property <br />rights; <br /> <br />The tenant's occupancy of the building will not be <br />injured by the denial of this variance. No other tenant <br />in similar circumstances is entitled to a sign such as <br />the subject sign. <br /> <br />2.
