<br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Heinly and carried, the request of
<br />Raymond F. Braun, Pondorsa Cafe, 2317 West First Street, was approved to hold a
<br />"Fast Draw Shoot-out" with blank cartridges on the rear parking lot, April 8, 1962,
<br />between lO:O0 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., subject to the regulations of the Police Depart-
<br />ment.

<br /> It was moved by Councilman Brewer that the Manager be instructed to install a "Stop
<br /> Sign" at the intersection of Center Street and St. Gertrude Place. Motion lost for
<br />
<br />lack of a secoud. It was moved by Councilman Heinly and seconded by Schlueter, that
<br />the report from the Manager be received and filed, and no further action taken,
<br />reference the verbal request of Councilman Brewer for a "Stop Sign" at the inter-
<br />section of Center Street and St. Gertrude Place.

<br />On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the request of Joe

<br />B. Goodnight, President, Michael's Markets, Inc., for a traffic signal at the inter-
<br />section of 17th Street and Lincoln Avenue, was deferred until the new signal pri-
<br />
<br />ority list has been established.

<br />The Manager orally reported the matter of the animal problem/has been investigated
<br />
<br />and the owner has indicated he would take action to clean the facilities and cage;
<br />and also indicated he is now and will continue to keep the cats within the house
<br />from 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., reference complaint of E. R. Hanson, et al, 730 South
<br />Broadway. On motion of Councilman Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the re-
<br />port of the Manager was accepted, and the ccmmnunication received and filed.

<br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution on motion of
<br />Councilman Brewer, seconded by Heinly and carried, the following Resolution en-
<br />titled:

<br /> "Resolution No. 62-69 expressing appreciation to the various organizations
<br /> for support of the Special Water Bond Election held March 13, 1962"
<br />
<br />to the members of the Water C~ittee, the Industrial Division of the Santa Ana
<br />Chamber of Ccm~aerce, the Santa Ana Junior Chamber of Commerce and the Santa Ana
<br />Chamber of Connnerce for the splendid job done in presenting the facts to the voters
<br />of the .City and for the fine civic leadership displayed by the individual members of
<br />these organizations in the work done by them to insure that the City voters would
<br />have the information necessary for them to vote intelligently, was considered and
<br />passed by the following vote:
