Fiscal 1962-63 requirement for electric lamps, Specification h52-10. <br /> Bids to be opened May 7, 1962. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the application <br /> of Jack Fisher Chapter 23, Inc., Disabled American Veterans, was approved to sollci' <br /> funds April 30 to June 15, 1962~ for rehabilitation, hospital work, and direct re- <br /> lief to veterans and/or dependents. <br /> <br /> On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the application <br /> of Orange County Council of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Southern Cali- <br /> fornia Chapter, was approved to solicit funds May 13 through June 17, 1962, for re- <br /> search into the cause and cure of Multiple Sclerosis, and patient care and rehabili. <br /> tation clinics for Multiple Sclerosis victims. <br /> <br />The Manager orally reported authorization was granted at a previous meetin~ for the <br />transfer of sufficient funds into the traffic signal account to cover the cost of <br />installation of a traffic signal at the intersectic~ of Warner Avenue and Flower <br />Street. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the <br />communications fram Elinore M. and Henry F. O'Connell, 2609 South Park Drive, was <br />received and filed~ requesting a traffic signal at the intersection of Warner Ave- <br />nue and Flower Street. <br /> <br />The Manager orally requested that the item "from the Department of Public Works re- <br />porting that all acreage charges provided for in agreement dated February 2, 1959, <br />between the City of Santa Ana and Kenneth C. Price, et al, have been paid to the <br />City; and recommending release of all property described in said agreement as pro- <br />vided for in paragraph 4 thereof,"betaken off calendar. On motion of CounciLman <br />Hubbard, seconded by Brewer and carried, the item was taken off calendar. <br /> <br />On motion of Cot~lc~lm~u Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried, Councilm-n Bob <br />Brewer was granted permission to leave the City to attend "New Mayors' and Council- <br />mens' Institute~" in Sacramento, to be held May 20 to May 22, 1962, and "Orange <br />County Water Association Feather River Trip," from May 23 to Nmy 26, 1962; with ex- <br />penses to be paid by the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Schlueter and carried~ Councilman Dale <br />H. Heinly was granted permission to leave the City to attend the "New Mayors' and <br />Councilmens' Institute," in Sacramento, to be held May 20 to May 22, 1962; with ex- <br />penses to be paid by the City. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilmsn Hubbard, seconded by Heinl,v and carried, Councilman <br />Henry H. Schlueter was granted permission to leave the State, at no expense to the <br />City; from May i to May 7, 1962. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Hubbard and seconded by Schlueter, that the recommenda- <br />tion of the Manager be approved, and authorization granted to enter into a contract <br />with Hc~er Hoyt Associates~ 3636 Sixteenth Street, N.
