665 RESOLUTION 92-094 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND 91-066 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN, AND TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO REALLOCATE CERTAIN POSITIONS. WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana requires the city Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Aha; and on July 1, 1991, passed and adopted Resolution No. 91-066, re-establishing the Compensation Plan for classes of employment designated as unrepresented executive and middle management; and WHEREAS, on July 6, 1992, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS-2163, which establishes the City's Budget authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 1992-93, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocations of authorized positions be reviewed and.approved by the City Council; and WHEREAS, routine maintenance of the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan and/or the findings of various classification and compensation studies reveal the need to effect certain changes to the Plan and to reallocate certain positions; and WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 91-066 and the Fiscal Year 1992-93 Budget in order to effect these changes. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. That Section 3 of Resolution 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by:
