<br />M_rs. E. R. Hanson, 730 South Broadway, stated the problem still exists, concerning
<br />
<br />the three Siamese cats retained at the rear of the pr~mtses at 726 South Broadway,
<br />
<br />as the owners of the cats have not complied with the suggestions of the Police Depa~
<br />
<br />ment in cleaning the facilities and cage, or with keeping the cats within the house
<br />
<br />from 7:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M., and questioned whether the Council had the authority
<br />
<br />to order the owners to do so. Mayor Hall stated it was not within the authority of
<br />
<br />the Council at the present time, as the City does not have an Ordinance regulating
<br />
<br />the keeping of cats, and the Council can only suggest that a solution to the probl~

<br />Marion Suttner, Clerk of the Council, presented and read her letter of retirement,
<br />to be effective August l, 1962, and expressed appreciation ~or the cooperation of
<br />the Department Heads, the City employees, and particularly the staff of the City
<br />Manager's office, during her thirty-five and one-half years of service to the City.
