613 RESOLUTION NO.93-052UNC~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO CITY OF SANTA ANA FINDINGs.THAT THE ~S~ ~' ~ OF TAXES ALLOCATED FR~Q~"T~OHM~,T,~, ',, ,/~ FACILITIES IHPROV~T ~-~RED~.L~.~-~ . ~ ~ MENT PROJECT FO~I"H_E.~H~SE O~P~-~ ~/~~ ING ~D INCR~S~E CO~I~~~~ O~SIDE THE P BENEFIT TO THE P~~ev~i~ ~ER~S, the Co.unity of the city of Santa Ana, acting as theCo~unit~ Agency of the City section 3 of Santa ~a pursuant to ~f the Co.unity Redevelop- ment Law. has prepared and approved a redevelopment plan for the Co.unity Facilities Improvement Plan redevelopment project and submitted the same to the City Council for adoption; and WHEREAS, the said redevelopment plan provides for the allocation of taxes from the project area to the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana in accordance with section 33670 of the Community Redevelopment Law; and WHEREAS, Section 33334.2 of the Community Redevelopment Law requires that not less than twenty percent of all taxes so allocated be used by the Agency for the purpose of improving and increasing the community's supply of low and moderate income housing available at affordable housing cost, unless certain findings are made; and WHEREAS, Section 33334.2(g) of the Community Redevelopment Law provides that the Agency may use such funds outside the project area if a finding is made by resolution of the Agency and the city Council that such use will be of benefit to the Project; NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the use of taxes allocated from the Community Facilities Improvement Plan project area for the purpose of improving and increasing the community's supply of low and moderate income housing available at affordable costs outside the project area and within the City of Santa Aha will be of benefit to the project.
