Schlueter, Dale H. Heinly, <br /> Bob Brewer, Royal E. Hubbard <br /> <br />Absent: Councilmen A. A. Hall <br /> <br />Minutes of Boundary <br />C~ission "Newport <br />and Dyer - S.E. Annex - <br />Corrected" <br /> <br />Reso. No. 62-122 <br />Initiate proceedings <br />"Newport and Dyer - <br />S.E. Annex" ~ <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Heinly and carried, the Minutes of the <br />Boundary Cummission dated June 18, 1962, was received and filed, advising the <br />boundaries of the proposed annexation to the City of Santa Ana designated "Newport <br />and Dyer - S. E. Annex - Corrected" are reasonably definite and certain. <br /> <br />The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of <br />Councilm~u Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution en- <br />titled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution No. 62-122 initiating proceedings for and declaring intention <br /> to proceed with annexation of territory to the City of Santa Ana, desig- <br /> nating '~ewport and Dyer, S.E. Annex' as an appropriate name for said <br /> territory and giving notice of protest hearing thereon" <br /> <br />setting the date of hearing on August 6, 1962, was considered and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br />Protest <br /> <br />Irvine Company <br />"Newport and Dyer - <br /> <br />S.E. Annex" <br /> <br />Ayes, Councilmen Henry H. Schlueter, Dale H. Heinly, <br /> Bob Brewer, Royal E. Hubbard <br />Noes, Councilmen None <br />Absent, Councilmen A. A. Hall <br /> <br />Raymond L. Curran, Attorney, 634 South Spring Street, Los Angeles, representing <br /> <br />The Irvine Com~m~%y, requested resubmittal of the letter from The Irvine Company <br /> <br />protesting the proposed annexation, received and filed at the adjourned meeting <br /> <br />held June ll, 1962, and requested the letter be included, and considered as a pro- <br /> <br />test against the annexation, in the proceedings of this meeting.
