O55 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 93-063 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CO%rNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING MEMBERSHIP IN THE <br />ORANGE COUNTY VEHICLE THEFT TASK FORCE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the problems surrounding automobile theft and car <br />jacking are increasing in California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Board of Supervisors adopted <br />Resolution No. 93-54, pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section <br />9250.14 to establish an Orange County Vehicle Theft Task Force and <br />funding to impact the increasing incidence of auto theft; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has pledged its support to work <br />with the County of Orange, District Attorney's office, Sheriff's <br />Department, eight other cities and various State and Federal <br />Agencies to help to address this problem. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, <br />having reviewed the Orange County Vehicle Theft Task Force Progress <br />Report and FY 1993-94 Proposed Task Force Budget, does by this <br />resolution hereby: <br /> <br />Authorize the Santa Ana Police Department to <br />participate as a member in the Orange County <br />Vehicle Theft Task Force membership and to <br />represent this city in respect to the Task <br />Force activities; and <br /> <br />Authorize that applicable City reimbursement <br />will be made in accordance and compliance with <br />County of Orange accepted accounting <br />procedures, and as referenced in the Orange <br />County Vehicle Theft Task Force Progress <br />Report. <br /> <br /> <br />
