RESOLUTION NO. 93-078 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA EXPRESSING INTEREST IN <br />PARTICIPATING IN A COUNTYWIDE PREEMPTION <br />SYSTEM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation authority has <br />requested the City of Santa Ana support a Countywide traffic signal <br />preemption system; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, assuming a Countywide traffic signal preemption <br />system is developed to serve fire emergency vehicles; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />this system will be compatible between <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana is willing to participate <br />in a Countywide traffic signal preemption system program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana <br />supports the concept of a Countywide traffic signal preemption <br />system for fire emergency vehicles only. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city requests the Orange <br />County Transportation Authority explore use of funds including <br />Measure M for traffic signal preemption systems. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 7th day of Septermber , 1993. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Young Aye <br />Pulido Aye <br />Lutz Aye <br />Mills Aye <br />Moreno Aye <br />Norton Aye <br />Richardson Absent <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br /> <br />
