It was moved by <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, that nominations <br />be closed and Malcolm Smith be unanimously appointed to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Royal E. Hubbard was nominated by CounciLman Brewer, seconded by Councilman Schlueter <br />to serve as alternate director on the Orange County Sanitation Board. It was moved <br />by Schlueter, seconded by Gilmore und carried, that the nominations be closed and <br />CounciLman Hubbard be unanimously appointed as alternate director on the Sanitation <br />Board. <br /> <br />Council received and considered a report from the City Manager relative to traffic <br />at the intersection of Santa Clara and Bristol, requested by Council at its September <br />4, 1962 meeting. On motion of CounciLman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Brewer and <br />carried, petitions containing over 700 names of persons interested in the placing <br />of a traffic guard at Santa Clara and Bristol, were received and ordered filed. <br />Councilman Schlueter reported attendance at a meeting with school officials wherein <br />agreement was reached to initiate a school safety patrol program. It was moved by <br />Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, that the adult <br />crossing guard be retained at the intersection until Christmas recess and that <br /> <br /> <br />
