127 <br /> <br />REL:6/17/94 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-045 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE AND CIRCULATION <br />ELEMENTS OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA TO REDESIGNATE CERTAIN PROPERTY ON BAKER <br />STREET, NORTH OF CIVIC CENTER DRIVE FROM THE LOW <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (LR) CATEGORY TO THE PROFES- <br />SIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES (PAO) CATEGORY <br />AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE CLOSURE OF BAKER STREET <br />NORTH OF CIVIC CENTER DRIVE (GPA 94-3) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, <br />after duly noticed public hearing, approved an amendment to the <br />General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed and considered the initial <br />environmental study and negative declaration prepared for such <br />proposed General Plan amendment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hearing, <br />concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan <br />amendment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The adoption of the said General Plan amendment will not <br />have a significant effect on the environment, and the negative <br />declaration prepared for said amendment is hereby approved. <br /> <br /> 2. The "Land Use Plan" of the Land Use Element of the General <br />Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended to redesignate that <br />area of the city shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorpo- <br />rated herein, as the "Ri" portion of the "Proposed Development <br />Site" from the "Low Density Residential" (LR) category to the <br />"Professional and Administrative Offices" (PAO) category. <br /> <br /> 3. The Circulation Element of the General Plan of the city <br />of Santa Ana is amended to provide for the closure to vehicular <br />traffic of Baker Street immediately to the north of its intersec- <br />tion with civic Center Drive, in order to reduce through-traffic in <br />the residential neighborhood abutting Baker Street, in accordance <br />with the objectives of the said Circulation Element. <br /> <br /> <br />
