347 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 94- 074 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION <br />NO. 94-037 TO CONSENT TO AN INCREASE THE <br />AMOUNT OF COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />FUNDS FROM THE NORTH HARBOR REDEVELOP- <br />MENT PROJECT WHICH MAY BE USED FOR IM- <br />PROVEMENTS TO ROSITA PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, by its <br />Resolution No. 94-037, adopted June 20, 1994, determined that the <br />construction of a recreation center in Rosita Park is of benefit to <br />the Santa Ana North Harbor Boulevard Redevelopment Project Area, <br />that no other reasonable means of financing construction of said <br />recreation center is available to the City and that the use of <br />funds of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa <br />Ana for construction of said recreation center will assist in the <br />elimination of one or more blighting conditions; and consented to <br />the use of funds of the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City <br />of Santa Ana to pay a portion of the cost of construction of said <br />recreation center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 94-037 consented to the use of up <br />to $2 million in Agency funds from the North Harbor Boulevard <br />Redevelopment Project Area for the construction of said recreation <br />center; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it now appears that up to $2.5 million in Agency <br />funds from the said project area will be necessary for the <br />construction of said recreation center; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA that Resolution 94-037 is amended in the following <br />respects: <br /> <br /> 1. The fifth recital in said resolution is amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana ("City") has <br />assembled $0.6 million in funds from various sources <br />in order to finance the construction of the Recre- <br />ation Center, leaving a shortfall of approximately <br />$2.5 million; and <br /> <br /> 2.
