365 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO, 94-077 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA ADOPTING A NON-DISPOSAL FACILITY <br />ELEMENT PURSUANT TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE <br />PUBLIC RESOURCES CODE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Act <br />(AB939) requires cities and counties to develop and implement <br />solid waste management plans to describe how state-mandated <br />solid waste reduction goals will be met; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana adopted its final Source <br />Reduction and Recycling Element (SRRE) and Household Hazardous <br />Waste Element (HHWE) in June 1992 in compliance with AB939 <br />regulations and after review by the AB939 Local Task Force and <br />the California Integrated Waste Management Board; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Public Resources Code Section 41730 requires <br />each city to prepare and adopt a Non-Disposal Facility Element <br />which identifies any new facilities and the expansion of <br />existing facilities which will be needed to implement the <br />city's SRRE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Non-Disposal Facility Element <br />describes contemplated use of current facilities located in <br />other jurisdictions, the expansion of some of those facilities <br />and the construction of new solid waste facilities by multi- <br />jurisdictional agencies; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, no environmental review of the Non-Disposal <br />Facility Element is required by law; <br /> <br /> <br />
