381 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-002 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO ADD ONE PART-TIME <br />TITLE TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION PLAN, AND TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL <br />BUDGET TO ALLOCATE ONE PART-TIME POSITION AT NO <br />ADDITIONAL COST. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install <br />and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to <br />civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City <br />council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and <br />adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the <br />Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and employees of the <br />City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 5, 1994, the City Council passed and <br />adopted Ordinance No. NS-2225, which establishes the City's <br />budget, authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 1994- <br />1995, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in <br />the allocations of authorized positions be reviewed and approved <br />by the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) has <br />determined that street lighting responsibilities, which were <br />previously performed under contract, conform to the duties of a <br />part-time employee, requiring the addition of a classification <br />title to the titles of classifications of part-time employment, <br />retroactive to October 1, 1994; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution No. 82-110 <br />and the Fiscal Year 1994-95 Budget in order to effect these <br />changes. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />1. That Section 3.5.2 (CLASS TITLES AND WAGE RATES FOR LONG- <br />TERM REPRESENTED CATEGORIES OF PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT) of <br />Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further amended by <br />adding the following class title at the salary rate ranges shown: <br /> <br />BASIC HOURLY WAGE RATES EFFECTIVE 1/01/95 <br /> <br />Class Title Step A <br />Street Lighting $23.25 <br />Engineer <br /> <br />Step B Step C Step D Step E <br />$24.45 $25.65 $26.95 $28.30 <br /> <br /> <br />
