399 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95-005 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIREC- <br />TOR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY TO EXECUTE <br />AGREEMENTS WITH CALTRANS FOR THE INTERMODEL <br />SURFACE TRANSPORTATION EFFICIENCY ACT/HAZARD <br />ELIMINATION SAFETY PROGRAM (ISTEA/HES) ON <br />BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Intermodel Surface Transportation Efficiency <br />Act of 1991 provides authorizations for highways, highway safety, <br />and mass transportation for six years; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the purpose of the act is to develop a National <br />Intermodel Transportation System that is economically efficient and <br />environmentally sound, provide the foundation for the Nation to <br />compete in the global economy and move people and goods in a safe <br />and energy efficient manner. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to make traffic <br />signal improvements at four locations within the City and wants to <br />utilize the services of the State for materials testing. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Executive Director of the Public Works <br />Agency of the city of Santa Aha is hereby authorized to take all <br />actions and sign all documents on behalf of the City of Santa Aha <br />pertaining to the following ISTEA/HES projects: <br /> <br />· Bristol Street at McFadden Avenue <br /> <br />· First Street at Newhope Street <br /> <br />· Fifth Street at Fairview Street <br /> <br />· Fifth Street at Harbor Boulevard <br /> <br /> <br />
