RESOLUTION 95-009 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO <br />AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 91-066 TO ADD A SPECIAL COMPENSATION <br />PROVISION. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the <br />City of Santa Ana requires the City Manager to prepare, install and <br />maintain a position classification and pay plan subject-to civil <br />service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 1, 1991, the city Council passed and adopted <br />Resolution No. 91--066, re-establishing the Basic Compensation Plan <br />for classes of employment designated as unrepresented Executive and <br />Middle-Management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Fire Chief has identified the need for a <br />temporary special assignment pay for the Assistant Fire Marshal <br />(MM) who is temporarily serving as Acting Fire Marshal; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution No. 91-066 in <br />order to effect this change. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />1. That Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, be further amended by <br />adding in proper numerical sequence a new Section 4.3 to read: <br /> <br />"The incumbent in the classification Assistant Fire <br />Marshal (MM) who at the discretion of the Fire chief is <br />serving in an acting capacity as the City's Fire Marshal, <br />will be paid at a rate set at salary rate range MM-19, or <br />two (2) salary rate ranges (five percent) above his <br />current base salary rate range of MM-17." <br /> <br />2. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions <br />of Resolution No. 91-066 shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br /> <br />
