Washington, for a push-button or overhead crosswalk on 17th <br />Street west of Bristol at ~he Santa Ana College. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer~ seconded by Councilman Gilmore and carried, Council auth <br />orized attendance of the Mayor and Manager at a special conference called by the Governo: <br />for December 17, 1962, and approved expenses therefor. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Gilmore, seconded by Councilman Brewer and carried, Council auth <br />orized acceptance of the architect's preliminary plans and instructed the architect to <br />proceed with construction plans for the Municipal Stadit~n. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council re. <br />ferred to the Police Department for investigation and report, a request from James Walke! <br />T-Timer Corporation, 17208 Roseton, Artesia, for a one y~ar fee exempt lic~se to hold a <br />Safety Clinic sponsored by T-Timer's Inc. <br /> <br />Council acknowledged receipt of a letter from the President of the Santa Ans City Em- <br />ployees Association relative to "California First" observance day. A proclamation was <br />signed by Vice-Mayor Hubbard declaring December 31, 1962 a holiday for city employees in <br />recognition of Cslifornia's becoming the most populous State in the Union. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Schlueter, seconded by Councilman Gilmore and carried, authoriza. <br />tion was granted to the Director of Public Works to advertise for bids for the construc- <br />tion of a well on Cambridge, north of Fairhaven. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer~ seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council <br />approved a request by the Kilroy Company for a one-year extension of time on Tentative <br />Tract No. 3236. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, request was <br />approved for payment of $7,324 to James M. Montgomery, Inc., for preparation of a Hardy <br />Cross System Analysis of the water system. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by CounciLman Schlueter and carried, Council <br />approved merit salary increases recommended in the City Manager's report dated December <br />12, 1962. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Councilman Gilmore and carried, authorizatio~ <br />was granted to the Public Works Department to advertise for bids for the demolition of <br />the Walker Theater. <br /> <br /> <br />
