249 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 95- 067 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE <br />ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO PROVIDE <br />GUIDELINES FOR THE EVALUATION OF CONDO- <br />MINIUM CONVERSION PROPOSALS (GPA 95-5) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, after duly noticed public <br />hearing on September 25, 1995, has approved an amendment to the <br />Land Use Element of the General Plan to add guidelines for the <br />evaluation of condominium conversion proposals, as hereinafter set <br />forth; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council, after duly noticed public hearing, <br />concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan <br />amendment; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA that the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the <br />city of Santa Ana is hereby amended by adding the following <br />objective, policies and program pertaining to the conversion of <br />existing apartments to condominiums: <br /> <br />CONDOMINIUM CONVERSIONS <br /> <br />Objective: <br /> <br />Ensure that condominium conversion projects provide a <br />quality residential housing project. <br /> <br />Policies: <br /> <br />Protect neighborhoods from the potential blighting <br />effects of deteriorating or undercapitalized condominium <br />conversion projects. <br /> <br />Require mitigation of the hardship caused by the dis- <br />placement of tenants in the conversion of apartments to <br />residential condominiums. <br /> <br />Implementation Program: <br /> <br />Develop an ordinance that identifies development require- <br />ments and criteria by which to evaluate condominium <br />conversion proposals. <br /> <br /> <br />
