MI~3TES OF THE REGULAR MEA~_ING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SARMA ANA, CALIFORNI3~ <br /> <br />February 4~ 1963 <br /> <br />The meetlr~ wms called to order at 7:30 pomo Roll call was answered by <br />Councilmen I{ubbard~ Schlueter, Gilmore~ Brewer~ and Mayor Hallo Following <br />'the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag~ the Invocation vas delivered by the <br />Reverend Ralph Garc~a.~ Latin American Methodist Ch'~rcho <br /> <br />MINUTES APPRO~AL On motion of Councilmen Hubbard, seconded <br /> by Councilman Brewer, and unanimously <br /> carried~ the City Council approved the <br />minutes of the Regular Meeting of January P1, 1963 and %he Ad$ourned Regular <br />Meeting of Jauuary 28~ 1963o <br /> <br /> BID AWARD - On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded <br />~'STREET NA~E SIGNS by Councilman Gilmore and carried, Council <br /> received and ordered filed a report of bids <br /> received for street name signs and equipment; <br /> approved award of con~rac~s to Zumar Industries for sign blanks in the smount of <br /> $1,201o58 and to Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co~ for lettering signs in the <br /> ~mount of $2~133.50~ and rejected all other bfds~ <br /> <br />BID AWARD - On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded <br />TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMFA~I~ by Co~D~ci!man Eubbard and carried, Council <br /> received and ordered filed a report of bids <br /> received for traffic signal equipment; <br />approved award of the contract to Econolite Corporation ia the amount of $2,919.30; <br />and rejected all. other bids° <br /> <br /> ~BID AWARD - On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by <br />~? mSHELVi~NG FOR MUSEUM Councilman E~bbard and carried~ Council re- <br /> ceived and ordered filed a report of bids <br /> received for furnishing shelving for the <br /> M~seum; approved award of the conbracm to The Frick-Gallagber Manufacturing Co. <br /> in the amount of $~751~00~ and rejected all other bids° <br /> <br /> ~BID A~RD - Council received a report and tabulation <br />.%?PAINT STRIPING MACHINE of bids received for furnishing a paint <br /> striping machine° The report indicated that <br /> the low bid did not meet the City's specifi- <br /> cations° It was moved by Councilman HGbbard, seconded by Councilman Brewer and <br /> carried that the Council receive and order filed the report, find 'the lowest <br /> and best bid to be that of Montgomery-Ward Company, authorize award of the con- <br /> tract to Montgome~y~Ward Company in the amount of $8~604o11, and reject all <br /> other bids° <br /> <br />HEARING ~ ALLAT ABANDONMENT ~ayor Hall opened the continGed hearing <br />RESO. 63-19 on Resolution of Inten'~ion No~ 62-238 to <br /> vacate an alley ~nning north from 19th <br /> Street, west of Main Street.
