MINUTES OF TEE REGULAR ~u~I'ING <br />OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />March 18, 1963 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor W,]l welcomed a DeMolay <br />group observing Civic Day, and each Councilman introduced the boy who was <br />acting as his counterpart for the day. <br /> <br />Mayor A. Schlueter <br /> <br />George Hagan <br />Keith Wenzel <br />Bob Bratcher <br />Mike Bray <br />Dennis Shields <br /> <br />Roll call was answered by Councilman Hubbard, Schlueter, Gilmore, Brewer, and <br />Mayor Hall. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation <br />was delivered by the Reverend 0. Wilbur Fix, Evangelical United Brethren Church. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVAL <br /> <br />On motion of Counc~lm~u Hubbard, sec- <br />onded by Councilman Brewer and carried, <br />the City Council approved the Minutes <br />of the regular meeting held March 4, <br /> <br />BID AWARD - ROT.T.~R On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilman Brewer and <br /> carried, Council received and ordered <br /> filed a report of bids received for <br />an 8 to 12 Ton Roller, approved award of contract to Warnock-Bancroft Equip- <br />ment Co., in the amount of $8,222.45 less $1500 trade-in; and rejected all <br />other bids. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - VALVES On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilmen Brewer and <br /> carried, Council extended to April <br /> l, 1963 the bid opening date for the <br />furnishing of valve requirements for Fiscal Year 1963. <br /> <br />BID AWARD - WATER HYDRANTS <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hubbard, <br />seconded by Councilman Brewer and <br />carried~ Council extended to April <br />l, 1963 the bid opening date for the <br />furnishing of water hydrant require- <br />ments for Fiscal Year 1963. <br /> <br />BID AWARD <br /> <br /> Co%mci]m~u Gi~aore disqualified himself <br />REST ROOM & LIGHTING - ROSITA PA}U( in She follo%~ng matter. On motion <br /> of Co%u~cilman Hubbard, seconded by <br /> Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br />Council received and ordered filed a report of bids received for the construction <br />of restroom facilities and lighting panel for Rosita Park, Spec. No. 672-14; <br />approved award of the contract to R. L. Steim~etz in the amount of $15,698.O0; <br />and rejected all other bids. <br /> <br />BID AWARD <br /> <br /> Councilm~u Gilmore disqualified himself <br />SPRINKLER SYST~ in the following matter. On motion of <br /> Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Co~cil- <br />man Schl~eter and carried, Council received and ordered filed a report of bids <br />received for the installation of a sprinkler system at Rosita Park, Spec.
