RESOLUTION NO. 96-073 <br /> <br />REL: 6/6/96 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF <br />OF POLICE TO SUBMIT A GRANT AWARD AGREE- <br />MENT TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE <br />PLANNING FOR CONTINUATION FUNDING FOR <br />THE MINNIE/STANDARD COMMUNITY POLICING <br />ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Santa Ana desires to <br />continue a certain project designated the Minnie/Standard Street <br />Community Policing Enhancement Program to be funded in part from <br />funds made available through the Gang Violence Suppression Program <br />administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (herein- <br />after referred to as OCJP); <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California is authorized on its behalf to submit the attached <br />proposal to OCJP and is authorized to sign and approve on behalf of <br />the City Council the attached Grant Award Agreement including any <br />extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide <br />all matching funds required for said project (including any <br />amendment thereof) under the Program and the funding terms and <br />conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as <br />required. <br /> <br /> IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance <br />of the Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for <br />damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the <br />authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim <br />responsibility for any such liability. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder <br />shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 5th <br /> <br />day of Auqust , 1996. <br /> <br />COUNCILMEMBERS: <br /> <br />Pulido Aye <br />Richardson Absent <br />Espinoza Aye <br />Lutz Aye <br />McGuigan Aye <br />Mills Aye <br />Moreno Ave <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />237 <br /> <br /> <br />
