279 <br /> <br />REL:8~6/96 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96- 083 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA ADOPTING ARCHITECTURAL <br />GUIDELINES FOR THE HISTORIC FRENCH PARK <br />DISTRICT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, by its Ordinance No. NS-1723, adopted <br />April 2, 1984, rezoned property in the area known as the Historic <br />French Park District, more specifically described in said ordi- <br />nance, to the SD (Specific Development) District and adopted <br />Specific Development Plan No. 19 for such property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, by proposed Ordinance No. NS-2301, <br />proposes to amend Specific Development Plan No. 19; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Specific Development Plan No. 19, as thus amended, <br />will provide for the architectural review of the construction, <br />restoration and rehabilitation of buildings in the Historic French <br />Park District according to architectural design guidelines; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Historic French Park Association has published <br />architectural design guidelines for the Historic French Park <br />District in a booklet entitled "Historic French Park: Its Architec- <br />tural Legacy and Design Guidelines," dated January 1995; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Council now desires the Historic French Park <br />Association's architectural design guidelines as set forth in said <br />booklet to be the official architectural design guidelines for the <br />Historic French Park District for purposes of the implementation of <br />Specific Development Plan No. 19 as amended; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The architectural design guidelines set forth in that <br />certain booklet published by the Historic French Park Association <br />entitled "Historic French Park: Its Architectural Legacy and Design <br />Guidelines," dated January 1995, are hereby approved and adopted as <br />the architectural design guidelines to be applied to buildings and <br />structures in the Historic French Park District pursuant to <br />Specific Development Plan No. 19 as amended by Ordinance NS-2301. <br /> <br /> 2. The Clerk of the Council is directed to maintain a copy of <br />said booklet on file in her office as a public record. <br /> <br /> 3. This resolution shall become effective as such time as <br />Ordinance No. NS-2301 becomes effective. <br /> <br /> <br />
