RESOLUTION NO. 96-096 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING FILING <br /> OF A GRANT APPLICATION UNDER THE <br />FIRST DISTRICT URBAN PARKS PROGRAM FOR <br />PLAYGROUND AND AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES <br /> ACT IMPROVEMENTS AT JEROME PARK AND <br /> KIWANIS 'BARRIER FREE' PLAYGROUND <br /> IN THORNTON PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Orange First District established a <br />grant program to assist cities to enhance existing recreational <br />facilities and new facilities in urban park areas; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Orange First District has identified <br />these funds to be used for recreational projects in local parks; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has been determined eligible to <br />apply for said funds; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, 20 Civic Center Plaza, P.O. Box 1988, Santa Ana, <br />California 92702 that the City Manager and/or the Assistant city <br />Manager is authorized and directed to file this grant application <br />for playground improvements at Jerome Park and Kiwanis 'Barrier <br />Free' Playground in Thornton Park, and to provide additional <br />information as may be required with respect to the city of Santa <br />Ana's participation in this program. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 2nd day of <br /> <br />December , 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />(/C~rk of the Counc~ <br /> <br />or1 A.
