315 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97- 044 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF <br />OF POLICE TO SUBMIT A GRANT AWARD AGREE- <br />MENT TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE <br />PLANNING FOR CONTINUATION FUNDING FOR <br />THE MINNIE/STANDARD COMMUNITY POLICING <br />ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to continue a certain project <br />designated the Minnie/Standard Street Community Policing Enhancement Program to be funded in <br />part from funds made available through the Gang Violence Suppression Program administered by <br />the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCJP); <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Ana, California is authorized on its behalf to submit the <br />attached proposal to OCJP and is authorized to sign and approve on behalf of the City Council the <br />attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required <br />for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and the funding terms and <br />conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as required. <br /> <br /> IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award <br />Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant <br />recipient and the authorizing agency.
