381 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-054 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE <br />APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FROM THE <br />MOBILE SOURCE REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR THE <br />LOCAL GOVERNMENT AB 2766 SUBVENTION <br />FUND MATCH PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha is committed to improve air <br />quality and provide effective and efficient multi modal <br />transportation system to serve Santa Ana residents, business and <br />visitors; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has the opportunity to take a <br />leadership role in the development of advanced transportation and <br />clean air technologies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana wishes to utilize a portion of <br />the City's AB 2766 Subvention Funds to implement the construction <br />of a parking structure to serve commuters at the Santa Ana <br />Regional Transportation Center ($313,655) and the completion of <br />Phase I of the Downtown/Civic Center sign program to direct <br />travelers from the freeway to their destination in the <br />Downtown/Civic Center area ($47,000); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Santa Ana will enter into an Agreement <br />with the Mobile Source Air Pollution Review Committee for the <br />implementation of the projects by June 30, 1999. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to file <br />an application with the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction <br />Review Committee for the Subvention Fund Match Program on behalf <br />of the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Manager, or his designee, may conduct all <br />negotiations on behalf of the City of Santa Ana and execute and <br />submit all documentation, including but not limited to, <br />applications, agreements, endorsements, and payment requests, <br />which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned <br />projects. <br /> <br /> 3. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to <br />utilize a portion of the City's AB 2766 subvention funds as co- <br />funding toward a potential grant award under the Local Government <br />AB 2766 Subvention Fund Program. <br /> <br /> <br />
