G~ERAL PLAN CONSULTANTS Council received Resolution No. 5608 <br /> from the Planning Commission recozmaending <br /> that contractual negotiations for the <br /> preparation of a General Plan be commenced <br />with the Leo A. Daly cOmPany, "Arthur D. Little, Inc., D. Jackson Fauetmamu, <br />Boyle Engineering, amd with Stone & Youngberg, and namtn~ alternate firms if <br />negotiations are unsuccessful. <br /> <br />0n motion of Counc~lm,n Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br />Council received and ordered filed Resolution No. 5608, and authorized the <br />Planning Commission to proceed with negotiations. Counc~lm-n Hubbard complimented <br />the sub-committee and staff for the excellent progress being made on the General <br />Plan. <br /> <br />PARKING REQUIREMENTS On motion of Councilm,n Hubbard, <br />SEGERSTROM seconded by Councilm-n Brewer and <br /> carried, Council received a~d approved <br /> a recommendation from the Planning <br />Commission for a six months waiver of off street parking requirements for <br />facility at 10th and Main Streets. <br /> <br />PARKING REQUIREMENTS On motion of Councilmam Hubbard, <br />CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST seconded by Councilmam Schlueter and <br /> carried, Council received and approved <br /> a recommendation from the Planning <br />Commission for waiver of required off street parking for a proposed "reading <br />room" building for First Church of Christ, Scientist, at 920 N. Main Street. <br /> <br />TENTATIVE NAP Revised Tentative Tract Map ~831, <br />TRAcT 4831 creating 25 lots north of Bolsa Avenue <br /> between M~xine and Starboard Streets, <br /> was filed by George W. Campbell. On <br />motion of Councilm~n Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Brewer and carried, <br />Council approved Map 4831 subject to conditions described in the Planning <br />Director's Report dated March 26, 1963 except for condition "i". <br /> <br />STR~:,.'.' NAME CHANGE <br /> <br />It was moved by Counctlm~m Hubbard, <br />seconded by Councilm~u Schlueter and <br />carried, that a hearing be held April <br />15, 196~ regarding the remaming of <br />Artesia Street to Raitt Street and <br />Evergreen Street to Standard Avenue. <br /> <br />TRAILER OCCUPANCY On motion of Councilm-~ Hubbard, <br /> seconded by Councilman Schlueter and <br /> carried, Council denied a request for a <br /> temporary waiver of Code Section 5124 to <br />allow directors of pre-Easter evangelistic meetings to park and occupy a <br />trailer at the rear of the Faith Evangelical Church, 1915 West McFadden, <br />frOm April 2 to 16, 1963. <br /> <br />LICENSE P)~EALTY PROTEST <br /> <br />It was moved by COunc~lmm~ Hubbard, <br />seconded by COunc~)m-n Schlueter and <br />carried, that the penalty fee for <br />delinquent business license tax owed <br />by Dickson Appliances be waived. <br /> <br />City Council <br /> <br />- 67 - <br /> <br />April 1, 1963 <br /> <br /> <br />
