17 <br /> <br />GAS: 1/30/98 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98-008 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING GENERAL <br />PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 97-05 APPROVING THE <br />LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br />(GPA 97-05) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 65302(a) requires <br />a General Plan to contain a land use element which-reflects the <br />long-term vision for the type, location and intensity of <br />development that is desired in the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed Land Use Element will replace the Land <br />Use Element previously adopted in 1984; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Aha, <br />after noticed public hearing, recommended that the City Council <br />approve General Plan Amendment No. 97-05, approving the Land Use <br />Element of the General Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council, on February 2, 1998, held a duly <br />noticed public hearing on said Land Use Element of the General <br />Plan; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The Land Use Element of General Plan Amendment 97-05 is <br />hereby amended, adopted and approved. Said General Plan shall be <br />maintained by the Executive Director of the Planning and Building <br />Agency, or his or her designee. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 2nd day of February , 1998. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />~ice C.
