23 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 98- 0 11 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF RECREATION AND COMMUNITY <br />SERVICES TO SUBMIT A GRANT PROPOSAL AND EXECUTE A <br />GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE JUVENILE CRIME <br />ENFORCEMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain project to be funded <br />in part from funds made available through the Juvenile Cdme Enforcement and Accountability (SB 1760) <br />Program ("Program') administered by the Orange County Probation Department; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that <br />the City Manager or Executive Director of Recreation and Community Services of the City of Santa Ana is <br />authorized on its behalf to submit a proposal to the Orange County Probation Department and is authorized to <br />sign and approve on behalf of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana the Grant Award Agreement, including <br />any extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said <br />project (including any amendments thereof) under the Program and the funding terms and conditions of Orange <br />County Probation Department and that the cash match will be appropriated as required. <br /> <br /> IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award Agreement, including <br />civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency.
