345 RESOLUTION NO. 98- 0 55 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN, AND TO AMEND THE ANNUAL BUDGET. WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and with the approval of the City Council; and WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted l~esolution No. 82- 110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for all officers and employees of the City of Santa Aha; and WHEREAS, on May 18, 1998, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS-2348, which establishes the City's budget, authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 1998-99, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocations of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and Service Employees International Union Local 347, Chapter 1939, AFL-CIO (SEIU) have reached agreement on a new three-year contract which requires the reclassification and re-titling of all Park Maintenance Worker I and II positions; and WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution No. 82-110 and the Fiscal Year 1998- 99 Budget in order to effect these changes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: That Section 3 of Resolution 82-110, as amended, be further amended by changing the existing class title of Park Maintenance Worker II to Park Maintenance Worker, at no change in salary rate range. That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-99, as amended, is hereby further amended by reallocating 21 authorized Park Maintenance Worker I positions to the title of Park Maintenance Worker, at six-step Salary Rate Range No. 489. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of Resolution No. 82-110, and the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-99, shall remain in full force and effect.
