On motion of Col~lcilman Gilmore, seconded By C~mcilmau Harvey aud carried, Council postponed until the meeting of June 17, 1963, action om an agreement for consultants for the preparation of the General Plan. TRASH COT.r.~'TION Councilman Gilmore disqualified htmaelf in the follewi~g matter, and left the C~mcil Chamber. Cemncil heard the City Namager~ s report recommending postponement of his submission of s~ecifications for a garbage amd trash collection contract to the meetimg of June 17, 1963. C~mucil hear~ c~m~emts about the contract and bidding from Sam Barnes, attorney for Great Western Reclamation Co., amd ~aam Schleinf~, President of Santa Aha C~ercial C~mpamy, Inc., present contractor. On motion of Councilm-~ Harvey, seconde~ by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council authorized the City Mamager to continue with the preparation of specifications, submit a full report at the June 17 meeting, a~d prepare pla~ to place the contract for bid. Councilman Gilmore returned to the Council Chamber and resumed his seat at the C~Aucil table. change the tw~ baseball diam~mds, Council heard the City Manager's report regard~ investigation of cc~plaints pertaining to baseball at Alo~a Park. Based on a cost estimate of $9,600 to it was the Mamager~s rec..~..~endation that no action be taken ether than direct megotiation with the Little Leagae paeple to cut d~wn on the noise. Mrs. Wanda Holloway, 1936 N. Eaglish Street, and Mrs. Roberta ~fergan, 1922 E~glish Street, protested the incise and lights from the field, as well as the litter tossed in their yards. Horace Lee, 1918 Emglish Street, reiterated the complaints of his maighbors. Vice-Mayor Hubbard suggested that direct negotiations be made with tho Little League Clmb.
