On motion of Col~lcilman Gilmore, seconded <br />By C~mcilmau Harvey aud carried, Council <br />postponed until the meeting of June 17, <br />1963, action om an agreement for consultants <br />for the preparation of the General Plan. <br /> <br />TRASH COT.r.~'TION Councilman Gilmore disqualified htmaelf <br /> in the follewi~g matter, and left the <br /> C~mcil Chamber. Cemncil heard the <br /> City Namager~ s report recommending <br />postponement of his submission of s~ecifications for a garbage amd trash <br />collection contract to the meetimg of June 17, 1963. C~mucil hear~ c~m~emts <br />about the contract and bidding from Sam Barnes, attorney for Great Western <br />Reclamation Co., amd ~aam Schleinf~, President of Santa Aha C~ercial <br />C~mpamy, Inc., present contractor. <br /> <br />On motion of Councilm-~ Harvey, seconde~ by Councilman Schlueter and carried, <br />Council authorized the City Mamager to continue with the preparation of <br />specifications, submit a full report at the June 17 meeting, a~d prepare pla~ <br />to place the contract for bid. Councilman Gilmore returned to the Council <br />Chamber and resumed his seat at the C~Aucil table. <br /> <br />change the tw~ baseball diam~mds, <br /> <br />Council heard the City Manager's report <br />regard~ investigation of cc~plaints <br />pertaining to baseball at Alo~a Park. <br />Based on a cost estimate of $9,600 to <br />it was the Mamager~s rec..~..~endation that <br /> <br />no action be taken ether than direct megotiation with the Little Leagae <br />paeple to cut d~wn on the noise. <br /> <br />Mrs. Wanda Holloway, 1936 N. Eaglish Street, and Mrs. Roberta ~fergan, 1922 <br />E~glish Street, protested the incise and lights from the field, as well as <br />the litter tossed in their yards. Horace Lee, 1918 Emglish Street, reiterated <br />the complaints of his maighbors.
