AYES, COUNCIIA~EN: Harvey, Gilmore, Schlueter, Hall <br />NOES, COUNCILMEN: None <br />ABSENT, COUNCIIA~: Hall <br /> <br />17TM STREET Council heard a report from the City Manager <br />~$%IMPROVEMENT concerning the partial widening of 17th Street <br /> to provide on.street parking in areas affected <br /> by channelization between Spurgeon and Durant <br /> Stree~,s. It was moved by Councilman Harvey, seconded by Council-~n Schlueter <br /> and carried, that the City Manager he granted the authority to contact property <br /> owners regarding their participation in the financing of widening the street. <br /> <br />SURPLUS PROPEBTY Council received a repQrt of surplus property <br /> consisting of a steele family residence and <br /> garage at 1019 West Sixth Street. It w~s <br /> moved by Councilman Schlueter, seconded by <br />Councilman Harvey and carried, that the report be received and filed, the <br />property declared surplus, and its demolition authorized. <br /> <br />MERIT SALARY <br />INCREAS~ <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Harvey, seconded by <br />Councilman Gilmore and carried, Council <br />approved merit salary increases recommended <br />in the City Manager's report dated June 1t, <br /> <br />BID CALr-~ <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Harvey, seconded by <br />Councilman Gilmore and carried, Council <br />approved the City Manager's request to <br />advertise for bids on the following: <br /> <br />Three additional and five replacement <br />vehicles for the Police Department, with <br />bid opening on July 1, 1963. <br /> <br />Reconstruction of Anahurst Place, B~oadway <br />to Main; Sixth Street, Eastside Avenue to <br />I~yon; Huntziner Ave. at Harbor Boulevard, <br />with bids to be opened July 9, 1963. <br /> <br />Provision of 20" and 2~" water pipe~ to be <br />installed on Bolsa between Newhope and Harbor <br />with bids to he opened o~ July 1, 1963. <br /> <br />WRITTEN CO}~'NICATIONS <br /> <br />City Council <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Harvey, seconded ~y <br />Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council <br />received and ordered filed the following <br />commmxnicetions: <br /> <br />~JSINESS LICENSE FEES - Letter from <br />the Downtown Santa Ana Association <br />asking for ~arly consideration of <br />report. <br /> <br />June 17, 1963 <br /> <br /> <br />
