RESOLUTION NO. 1 ~ 9 9 - 016 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO ALLOCATE ADDITIONAL POSITIONS IN THE PLANNING & BUILDING AND PUBLIC WORKS AGENCIES. WHEREAS, on May 18, 1998, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS- 2348, which establishes the City's Annual budget authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 1998-99 and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council; and WHEREAS, due to an increase in development activity in the City, staff resources have become insufficient to meet customer demand. To avoid costly delays and ensure the timely provision of site plan review, engineering/plan check and inspection services, the Executive Directors of the Public Works and Planning & Building Agencies propose to add nine (9) additional positions to the current Annual Budget; and WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend the Fiscal Year 1998-99 Annual Budget to effect the addition of these positions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA: 1. That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-99, as amended, be further amended by allocating nine (9) new positions as shown below: No. of Class Title Positions Assistant Engineer II Assistant Plan Check Engineer I Associate Planner Building Inspector Senior Office Assistant Systems Technician (1) (1) (2) (3) (1) (1) 2. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1998-99 shall remain in full force and effect.
