L~well requesting <br />written ~pinio~ on legality of allowing CD zoning in areas other than Civic Center <br />a~d asking that a s~m~lar ~uesti~n and answer by the City Attorney be included <br />in the August 5, 1963 minutes, be received and ordered filed. <br /> <br />Mrs. L~mie Beer spoke in regard to her letter asking whether OD zmain6 is legal <br />or not; asked that the m~utes of tonight's meeting show that her letter of <br />July 26 be filed under Sakioka application; if it was legal to allow C 5 uses <br />under the guise of CD; wanted the Ashton-Priess, Tustin Pr(~erties and <br />~ applications looked up to see if they were passed before the 0D amend- <br />merit became effective. <br /> <br />The Mayor directed the Clerk to place Mrs. Boer's letter of ~uly 26, 1963 in <br />the Sakioka file, commented that the City Attorney and Planning Director were <br />reviewing the recent CD District amendment, and instructed the City Attorney to <br />check the Ashton-Priess, ~-,stin Properties, and Carson amendment application <br />files for legality of Council action. <br /> <br />ALLEY S%rRFACING On motion of Councilman Hubbard· <br /> seconded by Councilman Schlueter and <br /> carried, a petition requesting <br /> surfacide of an alley between Walnut <br />an~ First Streets, filed by William Jamescm, ~19 %;. Walnut, signed by about 23 <br />property owners or renters, was received and ordered filed together with a <br />Staff Report, and the Clerk warn directed to notify petitioners that the Public <br />W~rks Department proposes to patch the holes as soon as possibl~ reshape and <br />seal with rock and oil this fiscal year as a part of maintenance program. <br /> <br />PRE. REC. SURVEY 330 On motion of Counc~l~ Hubbard, <br />BT~ilL~/ND seconded by Councilman Gilmore and <br /> carried, Preliminary Record of Survey <br /> 3~0 filed by Ernest W. Btenlund, <br />creating two C 5 lots ~n the southeast corner of Fairview and Trask, was approved <br />subject to conditions in Planning Director's Report dated August 20, 1963. <br /> <br />FINALTRACT MAP ~8~1 On motion of Counci)mau Hubbard, <br />LIN~ROOE seconded by Councilman Gilmore and <br /> carried, Final Tract Map 4831, filed <br /> by Linbrook Development Co. ·Inc., <br />creating 24 lots north of Second Street and east of Cooper Street, was approved <br />and dedications thereon accepted; and execution of subdivision agreement was <br />authorized. <br /> <br />RESO. 63-152 On motion of Councilmau Hubbard, seconded <br />S(NJTH SANTA ANA by Councilm~ Schlueter and carried, <br />ANNEX NO. 6 the planning C~lssion and Boundary <br /> Commission reports regarding proposed <br />annexation of approximately 825 acres described as generally north and south of <br />Talbert, generally bounded by Main and Greenville Streets, were received and <br />ordered filed. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 63-152 INITIATING PROC. W"~ING~ FOR AIIN~2ATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY <br />OF SAIITA ANA, DESIGNATING AN APPROPRIATE NAME FOR SAID TERRITORY OF "SOUTH SANTA <br />ANA ANNE~ NO. 6" AND GIVING NOTICE OF PROTEST HEARING TH~EON was read by title. <br />It was moved by Councilm~n Hubbard, seceded by Councilman Schlueter that further <br />reading be waived and Resolution 63-152 be adopted.
