379 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1999- 062 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE <br />BRISTOL STREET AND MEMORY LANE BRIDGE <br />WIDENING IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE <br />COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING <br />UNDER THE REGIONAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION <br />PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the' City of Santa Ana desires to implement' the follovAng <br />transportation improvements: <br /> <br />Bristol Street Widening: Elm St to Memory Lane as <br />detailed in Exhibit I, attached hereto and incorporated <br />herein by reference; and <br /> <br />Memory Lane Bridge Widening: Pacific Avenue to the City <br />Drive as detailed in Exhibit 2, attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has been declared by the Orange County <br />Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M <br />"turnback' funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of <br />Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana will provide matching funds for each <br />project as required by the Regional Surface Transportation Program Guidelines; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate <br />funds for transportation improvements within the incorporated cities and the <br />County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana will not use Regional Surface <br />transportation Program funds to supplant Developer Fees of other commitments. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby requests the Orange County <br />Transportation Authority to allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's <br />application to City from the Regional Surface Transportation Program. Said funds <br />shall be matched by funds from City as required and shall be used as <br />supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the following streets: (1) <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br /> <br />
