383 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1999- 0 6 3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND <br />THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO REALLOCATE ONE POSITION. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 21, 1999 the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS- <br />2387, which establishes the City's Annual Budget authorizing position allocations for Fiscal <br />Year 1999-2000, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation of <br />authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to the need to provide additional Council support, an entry level <br />unrepresented Management Aide (UC) position was approved for the Council Services Office in <br />the current Annual Budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the number of complex and difficult assignments to be handled by this <br />position has increased significantly, thus bringing about the need for the position to be filled at <br />the "experienced level" rather than the "entry level" to function effectively; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager proposes to reallocate the entry level Managemem Aide <br />(UC) position to the experienced level class of Senior Management Assistant (Exempt) (UC) to <br />ensure that the position is appropriately classified and the pay level is commensurate with the <br />scope and complexity of the duties performed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend the Fiscal Year 1999-2000 Budget in order to <br />effect this change. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1999-2000, as amended, be further <br />amended by reallocating one position previously allocated to the classification title Management <br />Aide (UC) (Salary Rate Range No. 569) to the existing classification title of Senior Management <br />Assistant (Exempt) (UC) (Salary Rate Range No. 624). <br /> <br /> 2. That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of the Annual <br />Budget for Fiscal Year 1999-2000 shall remain in full rome and effect. <br /> <br />3.
