107 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-026 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA APPROVING APPLICATIONS FOR ALL <br />AVAILABLE GRANTS UNDER THE CALIFORNIA <br />INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT ACT <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1' The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does find, determine and <br />declare as follows: <br /> <br />The State has adopted the California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act <br />which provides funds to cities and counties for establishing and <br />maintaining local used oil collection programs that encourage recycling or <br />appropriate disposal of used oil. <br /> <br />The California Integrated Waste Management Board has been delegated <br />the responsibility for the administration of the local used oil collection <br />program within the state, setting up necessary procedures governing <br />application by cities and counties under the program. <br /> <br />Under the program, a city or county applicant must enter into an <br />agreement with the State of California for development of each project. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the submittal of grant applications <br />to the California Integrated Waste Management Board for all available grants under the <br />California Oil Recycling Enhancement Act and all available Household Hazardous <br />Waste grants under the California Integrated Waste Management Act for the period <br />extending through June 30, 2005. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The City Attorney is directed to prepare and the Executive Director of <br />the Public Works Agency or designee, is authorized and empowered to execute, in the <br />name of the City of Santa Ana, all necessary applications, contracts, payment requests, <br />agreements and amendments hereto for the purpose of securing grant funds and to <br />implement and carry out the purposes specified in the grant application. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 17th day of Apdl ,2000. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2000-026 <br /> Page I of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
