141 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-035 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO <br />SUBMIT A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICE <br />OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING FOR THE STREET <br />TERRORIST OFFENDER PROGRAM (STOP IV) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to continue a certain <br />project designated the Street Terrorist Offender Program IV funded in part from monies <br />made available through the Gang Violence Suppression Program administered by the <br />Office of the Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCJP); <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Ana, California is authorized <br />on its behalf to execute the STOP IV Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or <br />amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching <br />funds required for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program and <br />the funding terms and conditions of OCJP and that the monetary match will be <br />appropriated as required. <br /> <br /> IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award <br />Agceement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the <br />grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim <br />responsibility for any such liability. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be <br />used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 15TM day of May, 2000. <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> <br />L'-~Patricia E.
