289 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-055 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 91-066 TO <br />PROVIDE AN INCREASE IN SALARY FOR THE <br />UNREPRESENTED EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT CLASS <br />OF POLICE CHIEF (EM) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and <br />pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> VVHEREAS, on July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 91-066 re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan for classes <br />of employment designated as unrepresented Executive Management (EM) and Middle <br />Management (MM); and <br /> <br /> VVHEREAS, it is proposed that the salary level for the unrepresented executive <br />management class of Police Chief (EM) be increased, in order to attract and retain <br />qualified candidates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 91-066, to effect <br />this change. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />That Section 3A of Resolution No. 91-066, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by increasing the salary level assigned to the unrepresented <br />executive management class title of Police Chief (EM) as shown below: <br /> <br />15-Step Salary Rate Range <br /> <br /> FROM TO <br /> Annual Salary Annual Salary <br />Class Title No. (Min-Max) No. (Min-Max) <br /> <br />Police Chief (EM) EM-34 ($91,044-128,628) <br /> <br />EM-38 ($100,488-141,996) <br /> <br />That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of <br />Resolution No. 91-066 shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> <br />That this Resolution shall be operative immediately upon its date of <br />adoption. <br /> <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />Resolution No. 2000-055 <br /> <br /> <br />
