347 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-074 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO <br />EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES IN THE CITY'S BASIC <br />CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN AND TO <br />AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO <br />REALLOCATE ONE POSITION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position classification and <br />pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations and the approval of the City <br />Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation Plan <br />for all Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 19, 2000, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance <br />No. NS-2431, which establishes the City's Annual Budget authorizing position <br />allocations for Fiscal Year 2000-2001, and which sets forth the requirement that <br />alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the <br />City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Executive Director of Personnel Services proposes changing the <br />titles of four classes to reflect current industry trends in the use of titles assigned to <br />principal support staff for department heads; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Deputy City Manager for Development Services proposes the <br />reallocation of one vacant position in the Building Safety Division, in order to meet <br />customer demand for combination inspections; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Executive Director of Personnel Services has determined the <br />need to create two new part time titles; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Council Resolution No. 82-110 and the <br />Fiscal Year 2000-2001 Annual Budget in order to effect these changes. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA: <br /> <br />That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby further <br />amended by changing the titles of two existing represented classes and <br />two existing unaffiliated classes, at no change in assigned salary rate, as <br />shown below: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-074 <br /> PAGE 1 OF 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
