357 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-077 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO <br />SUBMIT A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT TO THE U.S. <br />DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE <br />PROGRAMS FOR 2000 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to continue a <br />certain project designated the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program funded in <br />part from funds made available through the Office of Justice Programs administered by <br />the U.S. Department of Justice; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA, that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Aha, California is <br />authorized on its behalf to execute the attached Grant Award Agreement including any <br />extensions or amendments thereof. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching <br />funds required for said project (including any amendment thereof) under the Program <br />and the funding terms and conditions of U.S. Department of Justice and that the cash <br />match will be appropriated as required. <br /> <br /> IT IS /~,GRE,ED that any, liability arising out of the performance of the Grant <br />Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility <br />of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The U.S. Department of Justice and <br />Office of Justice Planning disclaim responsibility for any such liability. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be <br />used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 20th day of November, 2000. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Patricia E.
