M~INUTES OF THE REGU~\N i~ETING OF THE CITY CON{CIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFOBNIL January 20, 1.964 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 217 N. Main Street. Roll call was answered by Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard~ Harry H. Harvey~ James GiLmore, Henry H. Schlueter~ and Mayor A. Allen Hall. Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Invocation was delivered by the Reverend George J. Busdiecker, St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. APPROVAL OF MINUTES On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by CounciLman Harvey and carried, the Minutes of the Regular meeting of January 6, 1964 were approved as mailed. CONTRACT AWARD On motion of Councilman Hubbard, ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 221 seconded by Councilman Sehlueter and carried, Council received and ordered filed a report and tabulation of bids received for the construction of improvements and sanitary sewers in Assessment District 221 (Watkins Way). Noble Company Sully Miller Company ~59,277.9o 57,347.10 RES. 64-14 ~ESOLUTION NO. 64-14 OF THE CITY ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 221 COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING CONTRACT FOR WORK OR IMPROVEMF~ ORDE/~a/) BY RESOLUTION NO. 63-211 (Assessment District No. 221~ Watkins Way). Awarding contract to Sully Mille~ Company, was read by title. It was moved by Councilman Hubbard~ seconded by CounciLman Schlueter~ that further reading be waived and Resolution No. 64-1~ be adopted. On roll call vote: AYES ~ COUNCII~EN: NOES~ COUNCII2~N: ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Hubbard~ Harvey~ Gilmore~ Schlueter~ Hall None None AMEND. APP. 484 Mayor Hall opened the hearing on CONKLIN Amendment Application 484 filed by Grace Conklin proposing to amend Sectional District Map 6-5-9 to reclassify from the R 1 to the C 5 District property on the east side of Grand between Santa Clara and 17th Street. Planning Commission Resolution 5665 recommended approval of ~hibit A.A. 484 A. The Clerk reported that notice of the hearing was published in The Register on January 9, 1964 and that no written communications or objections had been received. There being no response to the Mayor's call for testimony~ the hearing was closed. On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Harvey and carried~ Council approved the reclassification and instructed the City Attorney to prepare an amending ordinance according to Exhibit A.A. 484 A.
