RESOLUTION NO. 2001-011 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO <br />EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES RESOLVE AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br /> <br />The City Council desires to recognize the Santa Ana Police Department as <br />the lead agency for the Orange County DUI taskforce funded by a grant <br />from the California Office of Traffic Safety. <br /> <br />The two-year grant is a cooperative enforcement and education campaign, <br />which will involve sixteen (16) Orange County law enforcement agencies <br />including the California Highway Patrol. <br /> <br /> Section 2. The City Attorney is directed to prepare and the Chief of Police is <br />authorized to execute a grant award agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety <br />for $591,950.00. <br /> <br /> Section 3. The City Attorney is directed to prepare and the Chief of Police is <br />authorized to execute additional written agreements with the participating agencies <br />defining operational guidelines and accounting provisions for the DUI Taskforce. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 5th day of February, 2001. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Patricia E.
