RESOLUTION NO. 2001-023 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF AN <br />APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR <br />GRANT FUNDING AND TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH CITIZENS IN ACTION TO USE SAID GRANT FUNDS <br />TO PLAN A TECHNOLOGY LEARNING CENTER <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby, finds, determines <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br />The Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved a <br />grant for planning a technology learning center. <br /> <br />The State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the <br />responsibility for the administration of the grant project and setting up <br />necessary procedures. <br /> <br />Said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and <br />Recreation require the Applicant to certify by resolution the approval of <br />application(s) before submission of said application(s) to the state. <br /> <br />Said application(s) contain assurances that the Applicant must comply <br />with, although there is no matching funds requirement from the City. <br /> <br />The Applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of California to <br />provide a plan for a Technology Learning Center. <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana desires to enter into an agreement with Citizens in <br />Action to provide proceeds of said Grant to prepare plans for the <br />Technology Learning Center. <br /> <br />Section 2. City Council of the City of Santa Ana: <br /> <br />1. Approves the filing and submittal of an application for grant funding in the <br />amount of $49,250 for a Technology Learning Center; and <br /> <br />Certifies that sufficient funds exist to operate and maintain such project; <br />and <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-023 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
